Dr. Costin Lungu

I am a consultant gastroenterologist and I have been working in Bucharest for more than twelve years. I trained at Fundeni Clinical Hospital, where I did my residency, and since then I have worked almost only on diseases of the digestive tract, the liver and the pancreas.

I see adults of every age, but most patients come to me for three things: a clear diagnosis after months of tests that led nowhere, an endoscopy done patiently and without rushing, or the long-term follow-up of a chronic disease — ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, chronic hepatitis, fatty liver.

What I try to do differently: I explain in plain words what your results and images actually show; I do not order tests you do not need; I answer messages between appointments, because a small question should not have to wait for a consultation.

Your first consultation is forty minutes long. Bring your older results as well, even the ones that look irrelevant to you — the whole story is often in there.

I work in two practices, one in Sector 1 and one in Sector 5, so that I am easy to reach whichever part of the city you come from. The hours of each one are below.
